Bound by a Thread Sewing Machines

Inspired by antique Singer Sewing machines, these towers and needles set the stage. With limited packing space on the truck, each tower collapses for packing within a 25′ space of a tractor trailer. Pulleys on each tower allow for rope to suspend over the floor and tie the pieces together. Rigid casters on the back side of each tower allow for stability during performances while being able to quickly move onto the floor. Larger than life sewing needles give dancers the ability to interact with the set and reset the stage.
